Robin has been leading worship around the world and at home in Belfast, Northern Ireland for over 25 years. As a singer and songwriter, he has sold over 2 million albums worldwide, was nominated in 2006 for a Dove award for his song “Days of Elijah”, received the GMA international award, and has four international gold discs. His songs have been translated into many languages and are sung by worshippers around the entire globe. Despite this, he remains a quiet, humble guy who just loves to share the experience of worshipping the Lord with whatever crowd he is with. He lives in Belfast with wife Jacqueline and three grown children and serves as a university lecturer, global worship leader and private businessman. In every moment, his one great desire is to serve God in whatever way he can, minister to the church at every opportunity and bless the greater Christian body and the world.
Paul with his wife Priscilla started a small house church in 1981 that eventually became Christian Fellowship Church in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He remained the Senior Pastor there until handing over the mantel in 2011. He and Priscilla now travel the world seeking to encourage the habits of a healthy church. They have been involved in ten church plants and are keen to grow the church throughout the world by sharing current and relevant insights brought from wisdom and experience. Being an Irishman, Paul’s delivery and wit make for a compelling listen.
Stephen Mulder is the Director of Ministry Development at Alpha Canada. Steve is passionate about people realizing their potential, to be who God has created them to be in Christ. He loves sustainability, social entrepreneurship, church planting, and equipping the people of God in their everyday vocations. After graduating from University in South Africa, Steve worked as a business analyst and environmental consultant, which eventually led him to Dubai to work as a Sustainability Consultant. After enough time in the desert, Steve moved to Canada and completed a Master’s Degree in Theology at Regent College. When Steve isn’t working, you’ll find him enjoying life wherever he is, but especially in the outdoors.
Elaine Young is one of Alpha Canada's pioneers, helping to launch Alpha across our nation in 1998. She came on as a full time staff at Alpha's National Office in September 2000. Elaine currently oversees Alpha in the Atlantic and also The Marriage Courses nationally. As a baby boomer, Elaine is passionate about passing on the baton of faith to the next generation. She recognizes the unique way of life in the Atlantic where 45% of the population are rural dwellers and is keen to mobilize Atlantic churches to utilize Alpha as a tool to introduce people to Jesus.
Rev. Rob Trafton is a retired Wesleyan pastor living in the town of Sussex, New Brunswick. In 1995 Rob answered God’s call to full-time Christian service as Executive Director of Advancement at Kingswood University. While there he completed his pastoral studies, and later accepted a full-time staff position at Sussex Wesleyan Church. In 2013, Rob and his wife Marti traveled to the Dominican Republic on a pastor’s exposure trip sponsored by Compassion Canada. He left there feeling an overwhelming compassion for children living in extreme poverty. On the return trip, Rob sensed God’s leading in pursuing the possibility of partnering with Compassion in their effort to promote the Child Sponsorship Program in local churches. In the fall of 2013, Rob began his journey with Compassion Canada speaking to churches across the Maritime Provinces.
